Thanks to Marion Achurch for providing the names of Charles Henry's children and some of their spouses.
291. Richard Frederick Christmas-1242
From Marion Achurch: He died in French Creek while bear hunting with a friend. Richard hid and made bear noises and his friend shot and killed him. The friend was found not at fault. Richard was brought 20 miles south to be buried in Nanaimo, B.C.
218. Lt. Col. Henry Wallis-519
Drishane Church Parish register states Henry Wallis Esq & L [Lord] of Drishane Castle, Lieut-Colonel of South Cork Regt of Militia aged 72.
Drishane Parish Church register states Mrs. Charlotte Wallis for the burial in 1816. It has been established that Lt.-Col. Henry Wallis was born in 1790 (72-1862). Easily, he could have been married by the age of 20, thus 1810.
306. Son Wallis-521
Died in infancy.
Burke shows her as a daughter of John Wallis and Marianne Carleton. In fact, she was a granddaughter. Her church burial record for 1857 states Mary Gertrude dau. of Lt. Col. Henry Wallis of Drishane Castle (May 15th).
Nephew of General Sir Thomas Kenah, K.C.B.
Rev. Dr. John Charles Mongan MD-697
Recorded with given name Charles at times, which would indicate full usage. This would account for his brother using the given name John, who died at sea while emigrating to Australia with his family.
