I am looking for parents of Theophilus Christmus, b. ca. 1839 CA, d. Uvalde, TX, m. Cynthia Amanda Elizabeth Painter, Their daughter, Mary Ann Christmus m. John Guthrie. John Guthrie and Mary Ann Christmus had a daughter Delia that m. Charles Hiram Caraway. Georgia Alice Caraway, their daughter is my mother, b. 1907, Leesville, TX.[WHT: Received Feb. 8, 2004 from Joan Gresham.]
I need to add some aunts and an uncle to Madura Delia's children with Charles Hiram Caraway....Georgia Alice was their first that lived. There were 2 preceding her, John J. and Everett. One died at birth and the other died 1 week later. After Aunt Georgia came Mary Elizabeth who later married Hiram Alexander McWhorter, Katie Bertha who married Benjamin Yancy Moore, Charles Franklin who married Viola Weatherford and Clyda Hiram who married Earl Crittenden. All are deceased except Viola, or Aunt Ola as we knew her. Granny's first husband, Charles Hiram Caraway died before Aunt Clyda was born about 1914. March 12, 1916 she married my grandfather, John William Jenkins who had 3 children by his first wife, also deceased by then, and they proceeded to have 4 more children. My mother Ella M. Jenkins was their first born together, then Suzie Ollie, Paul James and Louie Park followed. Granny, Madura Delia Guthrie Caraway Jenkins died Sept. 1, 1954 and is buried in the Brister cemetery in Atascosa county, Tx. Granddad (J.W. Jenkins) died Nov. 1967 and is buried beside her. For a mine, yours and ours blended family the children got along amazingly well and the dozen children produced a number of offspring who are no scattered all over the country. You may or may not have wanted this additional information but I noticed that you only had one of granny's children, Aunt Georgia on your list. And my cousin Carey Jordan's message there too. He died in Feb. of 2001, I am sorry to say. Anyway, hope this helps somewhat.

Also living in the household is Katie Ware, 22, servant.
