Nathan "Chris" L. Christmas, 70 of Marietta, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003. Private funeral services will be held at a later date. A Georgia native, Chris received numerous rewards in product support at Lockheed. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Christmas of Marietta; one daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Jimmy Hollomon of Powder Springs; one brother, Douglas Christmas of Sequin, TX; two grandchildren, Jason and Taylor Hollomon and nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, North Cobb Unit,1256 North Cobb Pkwy, Suite 102, Marietta, GA. 30062-2420. PLOT 2nd row from the NW corner. Alfred's grave is in the Abbott family plot located in the second row from the NW corner, towards the field. Father of two infant sons buried there and husband to Lena Christmas. This is Doris Abbott Patterson's father that was killed by his brother-in-law Daniel S. Christmas. Alfred's wife and Doris Abbott's mother was Lena Christmas.

Services for Doris Abbott Patterson will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Forest Hills United Methodist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Patterson, 76, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at her residence. She was born in Dooly County, daughter of the late Alfred and Lena Christmas Abbott.
She was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church and the Faithful Friends Sunday School Class. She was a member of UMW for 50 years, and taught Sunday School and kindergarten at Cherokee Heights United Methodist Church for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Harlan Patterson; children Dr. Steve Patterson of Rochelle of Rockville, Md., and Bonnie Patterson Moreno of Ocala, Fla.; sister Mildred Thompson of Tifton; and grandchildren Sally Patterson and Emmelyn Patterson, both of Rockville, and Brian Baker of Nashville, Tenn.
The family may be contacted at the residence. Also from Mr. Baxter: Ola Mae Tucker was the second wife of Willie Lee Christmas. The first wife was Susie Francis Sapp b: August 26, 1907 in Eastman, Dodge County, GA. m: December 1924, d: October 6, 1974. They had one child, Leland LaValle Christmas b: July 15, 1926. LaValle was married and had children, but he died in Macon, GA within the last 5 years. Prior to his marriage to Ola Mae Tucker, Willie Lee Christmas served in the US Army.

My Aunt Lucy (Smith) Christmas passed away on Friday, May 13 at Gray GA. She was buried at Vienna Cemetery, Vienna GA on Tuesday, May 17. She had long been in poor health, so it was not a surprise, but it is saddening to everyone.Cordele Dispatch:
Funeral services for Lucy Christmas, 82, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2005, in the First Baptist Church of Vienna. Burial will follow in the Vienna City Cemetery. Mrs. Christmas died Friday, May 13, 2005, in Gray.Born in Warm Springs, she was the daughter of the late Frank Hill Smith and Lucy Moody Smith. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vienna, the Alathean Sunday School Class and the WMU. She enjoyed fishing and playing bridge. For the past year and a half, she had lived with her daughter in Gray, and attended Central Baptist Church. Her husband, Dr. J.T. Christmas, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Mark) Mangham of Gray; her son, Tim Christmas of Columbus; a sister, Hazel Williams of Pine Mountain; and grandchildren, Joshua (Amanda) Mangham of Macon, Kalyn Mangham of Warner Robins, and Lindsey Mangham of Gray.
The family will greet friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home or may be contacted at 7279 Highway 41 North, Vienna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 351, Vienna, Ga., 31092. Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of the arrangements.
