John Linwood "J.L." Hucks, 66, of Mullins, SC, died July 2, 2002, at home. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late John W. and Annie Williamson Hucks. He retired after more than 25 years as owner and operator of Hucks Heating and Air. He was also a member of Mullins First Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher of the men's bible class and served as a deacon at North Mullins Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Janice Jenerette Hucks; three sons, Reggie Hucks and his wife, Ann, of Shallotte, David Hucks of Myrtle Beach and Michael Hucks and his wife, Beth, of Mullins; a daughter, Teresa Warner and her husband, Ronnie, of Atlanta; three sisters, Earlean Ard and her husband, Joe, of Mullins, Mildred Roberts and her husband, Carl, of Mount Pleasant and Shirley Langston and her husband, Gene, of Lexington, N.C.; three grandchildren, Callie and Tyler Hucks of Shallotte, N.C., and Sarah Warner of Atlanta. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Meares Funeral Home, Mullins. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Mullins First Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Kirkland and Rev. Johnny Jenerette will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth United Methodist Church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mullins First Baptist Church, Bus Fund, P.O. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home, will be in the Rehoboth United Methodist Church cemetery. Mrs. Cooper was born in Horry County, a daughter of Porter J. Hucks and Margaret Agnes Caulder Hucks. She was a member of Happy Home Baptist Church and was the widow of Liston Cooper. Surviving are four sons, Davis Cooper, Willie Cooper and C. L. Cooper, all of Marion, and Charlie Cooper of High Point, N.C.; a daughter, Margaret C. Brown of Mullins; a stepdaughter, Sadie Small of Mullins; 67 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren

MARION - Willie Cooper, 66, husband of Ann Taylor Cooper, died Sunday,
August 9, 2009, at his home after an illness. He was born July 27, 1943,
in Horry County, a son of the late Liston and Bertha Hucks Cooper. Mr.
Cooper was a retired electrician and attended Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Cooper is addition to his wife of the home are: his Children:
Willie (Vickie) Cooper Jr. of Sellers, Crystal (Kelly Ray Hopkins) Chockley
of Sellers, Lisa (George) McDowell of Blenheim and Jason (Marie) Cooper of
Sellers; 3 Grandchildren: Clay Chockley, Lee McDowell and Wesley McDowell:
3 Brothers: Davis (Margie) Cooper of Marion, C.L. (Mirinda) Cooper of
Marion and Charlie (Mary) Cooper of High Point, N.C.; a Sister: Margaret
(Donnie) Brown of Marion; and several loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Cooper was predeceased by a Son-in-Law, Perry Chockley. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 12 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home
of Mullins, with Rev. Terry Brown and Rev. Art Ramsey officiating. Burial
will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held
Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Cox - Collins Funeral Home of

Dimmery of Conway and Patricia C. Rabon of Mullins; and a grandchild.

WHITEVILLE: Ethel Pearl Henson, 66, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002 in Loris Hospital. She was a native of Horry County, S.C., the daughter of the late Will Silas Caulder and Lula Strickland Caulder. She is survived by her husband, Bob Henson of the home; two sons: Robert Dale Henson Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Timothy Alan Henson of Loris, S.C.; one sister: Bertha Strickland of Green Sea, S.C.; and two grandchildren.

Final rites will be conducted Thursday, April 11 at 3 p.m. in the Southeastern Church of God by the Reverends Steven Green and Kenny Holt. Interment will be in the Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City. Inman Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
