"Departed this life on the evening of 21 May 1863, after a protracted illness, FELIX G. CHRISTMAS, aged 40 years, 9 months & 11 days. MR. CHRISTMAS was a gentleman whose peculiar firmness of character & sound principles gained for him the universal esteem & respect of all with whom he came in contact, & the devoted friendship of those with whom he associated in daily life. At the early age of 17 he entered the University of Alabama, where he graduated with second honors --- JOHN G. BARR, of Tuscaloosa, being the successful rival for the first. He was married to MISS MELISSA WHITE, with whom he lived agreeably till her death. Coffeeville Lodge has lost one of its brightest jewels -- Ulcanush Church a consistent member -- the widow & orphan a friend -- society all the ennobles. In his death 2 sweet & innocent children, and a brother to whom he had ever been a father, have sustained an irreparable loss."

My daughter is a Christmas from NC. In my research I believe she is connected to the Thomas Cross Christmas line. My research follows closely with yours up until the John C.R. Christmas line. I believe that from here her line is connected with John R. Christmas son of John C.R. with John R. born in 1846 in NC married in Hillsborough, Orange County, NC to Sallie Hancock, they had the following children: Robert L. b: 1870 in NC, Annie b: 1875, John b: 1878 this info came from the 1880 census there was also a sister of John R. listed as Louisa living with the family. From there we follow Robert L Christmas who married Maryanne Bouy and had the following children: Ruby B., George W., Edward L., and Bryant B. b: Aug 8, 1909 and d: oct 4, 1992. He married Lillian Elizabeth Newnham b: 06, Jan 1914 d: 29 Apr 1973 They resided in Carolina Beach, New Hanover County NC. They had the following living children, Lillian Ann, Lynn, Bryant Jr. Lillian Ann is my daughters grandmother. Most of my information has come from census records.

[WHT: These children, Ruby B., George W., Edward L., and Bryant B. belong to another Robert Lee Christmas, who married Mary Ann Patterson; this Robert's father is Nathan from Marion Co., SC.]
