All born in KY, except Fleming, shown b. in VA; this might be mistake of census taker or whoever copied the census.Her uncle, John lives in dwelling # 209 & her father & family in dwelling # 214.

July 1889, nephew, and Thomas Forgy, servant. John parents are from NC; Rhoda's parents from VA.

I do not have PROOF that Mary belongs to this family at this time, but it seems to be the only place that she fits. I am still looking in Butler & Logan Co. Mary & William are listed in the 1850 census with her two Forgy boys; where was Jane in 1850?Mary's 2nd marriage found in Pioneer Families of Butler Co., KY, South of the Green River by M. R. Austin & H. R. Rouk; this is on the Butler/Logan county line.

Herbert, I have a death certificate for a Francis Ann Simmons whose parents are Billy Hudnall and Polly Christmas. It says that Frances's husband is Pete Simmons. Frances was born in Butler County, Kentucky and Mrs. Cecil Forgy gave the information for the death certificate. She is buried in Rock Springs Cemetery but Pete's name was not listed in the cemetery book at all. Betty Wakeland

In 1900 Elijah is in Stoddard Co, MO (note that is where William & Isabella [Hayward] Christmas' son Thomas & Hovie also are--as well as an apparently widows Isabell); it appears that his mother Eliza (age 59) is living alone in the county.
