1437. Rev. Hiram Nimrod Jones-9743

[WHT: 2009 comments by Keith Jones:] He moved from Forsyth Co, GA to Ashville/Ashland AL near Gadsden. Both buried in old Mt. Zion Baptist cemetery. The old church house is now gone, but their home near a ‘boiling’ spring has been restored. He was a farmer, kept a country store, and was a Baptist minister. I have in my possession his saddlebags.

2457. George Jones-9752

[WHT: 2009 comments by Keith Jones:] Notes on children: George married Flora (unknown), (5/19/1890-5/23/1980) and they have many descendants, mostly in AL. I do not yet have details on this branch of our family. Joseph died 11/6/1900, and his sister N.C. Dama died 10/7/1900 in a diphtheria epidemic. Neither had offspring. (I wonder if John L. and Dama may have died in this same epidemic, given their death dates near this time, too.)

2458. Rev. Mack Duffy Jones-9753

[WHT: 2009 comments by Keith Jones:] M.D. returned from AL to marry Fannie, and again took up residence in Forsyth Co, GA. He lived there, and in Jackson and Hall County, GA until his death, except for one short stint of living near his father in Alabama. He was ordained as a Baptist minister, and preached revivals, did weddings, etc., but never served a church as pastor. He made his living as a sharecrop farmer and blacksmith. [NOTE: I am working on a complete listing of the family from this point on, but will only include the ‘highlights’ since there are over 100 living blood descendants of M.D. Jones. M.D. and both wives, plus many other family members, are buried in Salem Baptist Cemetery, Forsyth County, GA.
