1960. Ruby Higgason-5751


Mrs. Ruby Higgason Sandidge, daughter of the late Mr. Granville Higgason and Mrs. Mollie Wood Mitchum Higgason, was born 29 May 1894 in Green Co. And departed this life at 12:30 pm Thurs.,17 Sept at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was 93 years 3 months and 19 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. William E. Sandidge 7 Dec 1917 and he preceded her in death 23 Sept 1976. Mrs. Sandidge was also preceded in death by a foster son, Edsel Webb in Feb. 1960. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 10 am Sat. 19 Sept. With burial in the Macedonia Cem. Revs. Claude McCubbin and Larry Wisdom officiated.Pallbearers were Kerry Davis, Dale Hedgepeth, Gerthie Gentry, Robert Fergerson, Steve Judd, Van Higgason, Lewis Higgason and Elam Perkins. William E. Sandidge-5805


Mr. William E. Sandidge, son of the late Mr. Pascal Sandidge and Mrs. Jessie Jone Sandidge, was born Apr. 25, 1890 in Green Co. And departed this life Thurs. Sept. 23 1976 at 11:30 pm at the Greensburg Hospital. He was 86 years, 4 months and 28 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church at the time of his death. Mr. Sandidge was a retired farmer of the Donansburg Community. He served in the US Army during WWI and was a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124. He united in marriage to Miss Ruby Higgason Dec. 7, 1917, who survives. A foster son, Edwel Webb preceded his father in death in Feb 1960. Mr. Sandidge is survived by 1 sister: Miss Cora Sandidge, Ill; 3 nieces: Mrs. Sybil Ruppert, Louisville; Mrs Eulean Lemmie and Mrs. Wilma Hultgren, both of Illinois and a host of ther relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Sun. Sept.26,1976 with burial in the Macedonia Cem. Revs. David South and Calude McCubbins officiated. Pallbearers were: Chalres Blakeman, Bobby Higgason,Edgar Cox, Fred Mays, Elam Perkins, Hobert Moran. 3104. Edsel Webb Sandidge-5806


Edsel Webb Sandidge, 35 a farmer of the Donansburg section, died Mon., at Norton Memorial Informary, Louisville. He was a native of Pineville, but had lived in the Donansburg section around 27 years. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Sandidge. Funeral services were conducted Wed., at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Cosby Dobson and Rev. Elvis Marcum officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Cem. Pallbearers were Van Higason, David Higgason, Glen Cook, Thomas Howard Curry, Wallace Ray Tarter, and George Dangerfield. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Higgason, Wayne Higgason, Hubert Davis, Jr. Higgason, Jimmy O'Banion, Sidney Wright, Johnsy Higgason and Harry Higgason.
