It could be Carlie is a son of John's, wife unknown or a son of one of his sisters. Anyway, it appears he is related to this family, but I do not know how. CONNERSVILLE, Ind. -- Ara DeLena Beard, 97, of Connersville, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004.Born June 6, 1906, in Gibson County to John and Rutha Clem Christmas, she was a childcare provider.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Pancake, and son, James Beard.
Her husband, Byron, died in 1998.
Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at Showalter-Blackwell-Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, where visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday. Visitation at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, 323 N. Main St., Oakland City, will be 9-10 a.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to the Fayette County Library Bookmobile.

This is a response from Eldon McCrary about his uncle George and aunt Herma. Eldon's dad and Herma were brother and sister. His mother and George Christmas was brother and sister. I thought he might know a little about the facts of George and Herma in the 1920 Census.<< As far as Uncle George was concerned, at that time he was struggling to raise his 3 daughters. My Grandfather was raising them (This must have been grandpa McCrary, Herma's father) and one day he loaded them up and took them to Uncle George and told him to raise them himself. I don't know where Aunt Herma was but the records show she remarried in 1920 to a Frank Daniels; don't know where; nor where he was from. I saw him one time, at the same time that I first remember seeing my Aunt Herma, probably in the early 30's. They were living in Nebraska at that time. In later years he disappeared, I don't know any details on that. Aunt Herma spent her last years living in Princeton with Bethel.>>

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Doris Lucille (Falls); three daughters, Rosemary Stone of Belleville, Ill., Rebecca Lynn Malotte of Haubstadt, Ind., and Cassie Ann Keneipp of Newburgh; four grandchildren, Kimberly Smith, Jacqueline and Nicholas Keneipp and Benjamin Malotte; and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, the Rev. Arthur Christmas officiating, with burial in Atkinson Chapel Cemetery in Oatsville, Ind. Alva 'Dean' Harris, 70, of Louisville, died May 22, 2004. She was born in Butler County, a daughter of the late Rufus and Mattie Christmas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Harris; her brothers, Leon and Hollis Christmas; and her sister, Doris Corum.
Mrs. Harris was a member of Lees Lane Baptist Church. Funeral services were held May 26 at Owen Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial followed in the Memorial Gardens West.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca and Marty Harris Tuttle and Paula Janine Witten; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Thomas and Cathy Harris; her brother, Glendall Christmas; and her grandchildren, Zachary, Kyle, Kayla, Joey, Sarah and Cassandra.

The Quality native was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service in Bowling Green and was a member of National Association of Letter Carriers and First Baptist Church in Russellville. He was a son of the late Rufus C. Christmas and Mattie Woodrum Christmas.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne Mason Christmas; a brother, Glenn Christmas of Russellville; a sister, Dean Harris of Louisville; seven nieces; and seven nephews.

Herbert, I found William Montrose Christmas in the Logan County, Kentucky marriages and it lists his bride as May McPherson (Widow). I was wondering if that could be a mistake since she was 20 when she married William (listed as Mont) in 1933. I tried to find her first marriage and could not. I could not find her parents either. (Ester and Laura Davis).

The Muhlenberg County native was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Ester Davis and Laura Davis and wife of the late Mont Christmas.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Home with burial in Lewisburg Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, Horace Wayne Christmas of Lewisburg; a daughter, Euneda Lawrence of Clearwater, Fla.; a half brother, Charles Christmas of Louisville; three half sisters, Magdalene Cundiff of Bowling Green, Imogene Pope of Florida, and Helen Ray of Lewisburg; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Arthur Christmas, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, died May 2, 2002, at 9 a.m. at the Rathbone Retirement Community.He was born March 18, 1915. Arthur was a member of North Park Baptist Church for 56 years. He was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church of Louisville. For 40 years, Arthur was a plastering contractor in Louisville. He was a deacon and trustee in the Walnut Street Baptist Church. He served as a trustee of Baptist Towers, All Prayer Foundling Home and Parrs Rest, a home for elderly women. He moved to Evansville in 1992.

I have a birth date for Ina Mae Ewing. It was the only Ina Mae in the Kentucky births so it has to be right even tho I have seen it different on the internet. She was born 4-14-1915 in Butler County, Kentucky. It listed her mom as Lizzie Knight. I have seen it 4-12-1915. Ina Mae Christmas, 93, of Evansville, Indiana, went to be with the Lord this past Friday, February 27, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital.
She was born in Quality, Ky., and graduated from Bevier-Cleaton High School in 1932. She lived in Louisville, Ky., for 58 years then moved to Evansville in 1992.
Ina is the daughter of G.W. and Elizabeth (Knight) Ewing. They preceded her in death along with her brother, William Ewing of Drakesboro, Ky., and her husband of 67 years, Arthur Christmas.
Ina retired as a secretary for Kentucky Educational Television in 1978. Prior to that, she worked at Ken Rad (GE) in Owensboro and The Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville.
For 58 years she was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., and for the past 16 years she has been a member of the North Park Baptist Church of Evansville. Her family and her faith were the focus of her life.
She is survived by her three children, Sheila Moore of Carmel, Indiana, Dr. Byron Christmas of Houston, Texas, and Rev. Art Christmas of Evansville. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Emma Jane Boggess of Owensboro, Ky.
She lived at Rathbone Retirement Center for seven years and has lived the past year at Good Samaritan Home.
Funeral services will be Monday at Alexander North Funeral Home at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Tim Leadingham. Burial will be in the City Cemetery of Russellville, Ky. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. Monday.
