2043. William Montrose Christmas-891

KY Birth Index - Online: Name: CHRISTMAS, William M Born: Oct 26 1912 in , Butler Co, KY Mother: Andrews, Mandy Record/Certificate #: 12-126-50015

Has a stepdaughter named Unita.

[WHT: From Betty Wakeland, Nov. 11, 2002.]
Herbert, I found William Montrose Christmas in the Logan County, Kentucky marriages and it lists his bride as May McPherson (Widow). I was wondering if that could be a mistake since she was 20 when she married William (listed as Mont) in 1933. I tried to find her first marriage and could not. I could not find her parents either. (Ester and Laura Davis).

Ina Mae Ewing-902

[WHT: Received from Betty Wakeland on Jan. 3, 2005.]
I have a birth date for Ina Mae Ewing. It was the only Ina Mae in the Kentucky births so it has to be right even tho I have seen it different on the internet. She was born 4-14-1915 in Butler County, Kentucky. It listed her mom as Lizzie Knight. I have seen it 4-12-1915. Hope you have a great New Year.

[WHT: Received the following from Richard Tevault on March 1, 2009.]

2045. John Driver Christmas-893

[WHT: Received from Betty Wakeland on Nov. 13, 2002.]
Herbert, I have the birthdates for the children of Hazel and John Christmas. John is the son of Luke and Mandy Christmas. 1. Jay Noel Christmas b. 4-8-1949 in Logan County, Kentucky 2. Winifred R. Christmas b. 12-19-1950 in Logan County, Kentucky 3. Linda Christmas b. 3-7-1953 in Jefferson County, Kentucky 4. Charles Christmas b. 7-1-1954 in Jefferson County, Kentucky 5. Merry Gaye Christmas b. 6-14-1956 in Jefferson County, Kentucky 6. Patricia Christmas b. 5-6-1958 in Jefferson County, Kentucky I tried to pull Hazel Christmas's death up on the SSI death index but since I didn't know when she was born or died I couldn't find it. John and Hazel didn't marry in Logan County, Kentucky. I didn't check Muhlenberg County, Kentucky yet.

[WHT: Received from Amanda Dedmond on July 27, 2007.]
John's middle name was Driver. He was the fifth son of Luke and Mandy. It has been passed down through the family that someone told Luke that he had four mules so now he needed a driver--hence the name John Driver. I have only heard him referred to using both names together-John Driver. He was my grandfather's brother. (Arthur Christmas--no middle name, thank goodness :)

Mary L.-8114

Previous marriage to a Griffin.

Dorinda Nin Christmas-793

2055. Zida Forgy-935

[WHT: Children info provided by Betty Wakeland on May 31, 2002;] also states name is Zita, not Zida.
[WHT: The online KY Death Records shows her name to be Zida.]

3209. Cecil Gray Forgy-8104

[WHT: Corrections & additions by Betty Wakeland - May 22, 2002:]
Zita Forgy, wife of Ben G. Christmas, had a child (Cecil Gray Forgy) prior to her marriage to Ben Christmas. I tried to find out who the father was but failed. Cecil was born April 11, 1900 and died July 8, 1963 in Tennessee. (Cecil was listed in the Kentucky deaths and when I sent for a death certificate I got my money back saying that he died in Tennessee and that was the problem. Getting a death certificate from Tennessee) He married Christine Ferguson on May 16, 1923. Don't know where. They had 7 children. If you would like the names I will send them to you later.

[WHT: Received from Doris Forgy on April 19, 2003: He passed away in Nashville TN and the interment was in Lewisburg Ky.]

2074. Carlie Christmas-7663

[WHT: It is thought that John Henry never married; Carlie is living with John Henry and his mother, Mary in the 1900 Butler Co., KY Census; Carlie is referred to as a nephew; Logan Co., KY Funeral Home Records show Carlie's parents as John & Mary Christmas.
