Wiley Harold Cook, born in 1896, Son of John McHenry Cook, born in 1853 & Ellen Eliazabeh Downs & Grandson of James Cook & Rosanna HUESTON Christmas.
Daddy (Father) of Helen Louise Cook Abercrombie.
Daddy was a Ronald Reagan Conservative, was so proud that he served his Country in the
trenches of France & Germany during W. W. I. When the Armistice was signed, they were still
in the trenches wearing wet clothes and "they" had to come and physically tell them the war
was over....The ones "they" didn't find to tell either died or were imprisoned in Germany the
rest of their lives. Daddy was so proud to be an American and taught me to "wave our flag"

Daddy died May 20, 1987 at the age of 91 years. He moved to Mexia, Texas when he was in his 20s after he served in W. W. I in the trenches in France & Germany. He worked for Standard of Indiana for 50 years. Retired in Mexia, Texas where he died at the age of 91. He lived a simple life, had a beautiful home, sang in the Methodist Choir, belonged to the Masons, was a Boy Scout Leader an avid hunter & fisherman and had more men friends than any man I ever knew except my Son, Carter. Women adored him. He was a man's man. - a Great American. The best Daddy a little Girl ever had.
